National Night Out sparks across the nation

WEIMAR — National Night Out is an annual event hosted by cities and counties across the nation to bring the community and the local first responders togeth er. The Weimar Police Depart ment and the Weimar Volun- teer Fire Department hosted its first-ever National Night Out to a rounding success.

The park area was filled with fun as the community came to have a good time and get ac- quainted with its first responders. On hand were the Weimar Po - lice Department, Weimar VFD, Colorado County EMS, DPS and Texas Game Wardens, and sever al businesses.

The Weimar VFD served up Frito pie and there were snowcones in the background at the Weimar Park on Oct. 1 in Weimar for National Night Out.
