Colorado County 4-H Dairy Team raises funds for national contest trip

The Colorado County 4-H Senior Dairy Judging team competed at the State 4-H Dairy Judging Contest in Fort Worth, on Jan. 24, earning second place overall honors.

This honor allows them to compete nationally at the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Ky., on Nov. 9.

Team members include Jack Dudensing, Colten Koy, Lana Potter and Jase Rau.

Since qualifying, the team has practiced dairy cattle evaluation and oral reasons skills to prepare for the national contest. The team is raising funds to cover the travel costs for this national trip, including hotel expenses and meals. Sponsorship opportunities are available at the following levels: Clover Sponsor: $50 – Recognition on Colorado County 4-H Facebook Page and Colorado County AgriLife website.

Gold Star Sponsor: $100 Recognition on Colorado County 4-H Facebook Page and Colorado County AgriLife website.

Donations may be made by mailing a check to the Colorado County Extension Office at 316 Spring St., Columbus, Texas, 78934.
