WEIMAR — The Weimar High School football team was able to get a big win Oct. 4 in Weimar against another area team Schulenburg High School with a 27-14 win.
This was a much needed win for Weimar as they were 1-3 on the season before this win.
This could be a positive sign of things to come for the Wildcats where they get things going and portray the football that we know that are capable of playing: winning, physical football.
This win just wasn’t a big win as they needed to put a W in the win column, this was a big win because they were able to beat a really good Schulenburg team who has totally turned things around in the last couple years and are looking like a for sure playoff team.
After making a deep playoff run last year, this could be the win that Weimar needs to propel them back into the state tournament conversation.
