Seniors Together celebrates one year together

WEIMAR — The Weimar Seniors Together group celebrated its one-year anniversary on Oct. 9 at the Weimar Civic Center. Over 60 seniors and several business sponsors attended the celebration.

Seniors Together is a group of active seniors, 55 years of age and older, who come together to socialize, play games, eat a delicious meal. All this is free, thanks to the generous sponsors who help defray expenses. The Weimar group meets each month’s second and fourth Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Columbus group meets the first and second Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Lighthouse at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus.

Every senior is welcome and it is free to attend.

Plans are being made to bring the Senior Together group to Eagle Lake and Sealy shortly. Senior Together is a program initiative of Three Crosses Ministries, a 501(c) 3 organization.
