KC TO SELL CHICKEN & SAUSAGE

FRELSBURG — The Frelsburg Knights of Columbus Council will be selling chicken and sausage barbecue to go Sunday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to noon at Sts. Peter & Paul Diamond Center in Frelsburg. lowship Hall at 201 Veteran's Dr. in Columbus. and at the Weimar Civic Center in Weimar on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The events includes card games, board games, Bingo with prizes, coffee and tea, movies, lunch provided, educational speakers, field trips including trips to casinos and so cial gathering.

HARVEST CARNIVAL TO BE HELD

FAYETTEVILLE — The Fayetteville PTC will be holding their Harvest Carnival Friday, Oct. 25 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at St.

John’s Catholic Church Hall/Pavilion located at 205 Bell St. in Fayetteville. The event will include games, cake walk, haunted house, costume contest and raffle. FISD students will be selling raffle tickets at $10 per ticket. Beef stew, chili, hotdogs nachos, Frito pie and drinks will be available. Meals are available for dine in the hall, under the pavilion or to go. The Harvest Carnival is the largest fundraiser for the PTC. It’s a fun night for FISD and the community. EL SENIOR CITIZEN DANCE SCHEDULE 

EAGLE LAKE — The schedule for the Eagle Lake Senior Cit-

izen Dance held the first Friday of each month from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Eagle Lake Community Center at 100 W. Walnut in Eagle Lake is: Nov. 1-No dance-early voting at the community center; and Dec. 6-Blue Denim (Christmas Dance).

COOL CATS & SLY DOGS CAR SHOW BENEFIT

 LA GRANGE — The Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter in La Grange will host their inaugural Cool Cats and Sly Dogs Car Show benefit Saturday, Nov. 2 beginning at 11 a.m.on the Fayette County Courthouse square the after 5 p.m. at The Crown Bar at 114 S. Main St. in La Grange. Activities include a car show, chili cookoff, silent auction, a drawing for a 1955 Ford pickup and live music. Tickets for the truck drawing are $25. The truck is a “Resto- mod” 1955 F-100 powered by a 302 cu. in. V-8 with an automatic transmission, tilt hood and air conditioning. The band, Passing Strangers will perform from 1 to 4 p.m. on the square. Parking and registration for the car show starts at 8 a.m. that morning.

FRIENDS OF SFA STATE PARK TO MEET 

SAN FELIPE — Friends of Stephen F. Austin State Park meet the last Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Nature Center in San Felipe. The meeting is open to the public, so please come and help support the park.
