HARVEST CARNIVAL TO BE HELD
FAYETTEVILLE — The Fayetteville PTC will be holding their Harvest Carnival Friday, Oct. 25 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at St.
John’s Catholic Church Hall/Pavilion located at 205 Bell St. in Fayetteville. The event will include games, cake walk, haunted house, costume contest and raffle. FISD students will be selling raffle tickets at $10 per ticket. Beef stew, chili, hotdogs nachos, Frito pie and drinks will be available. Meals are available for dine in the hall, under the pavilion or to go. The Harvest Carnival is the largest fundraiser for the PTC. It’s a fun night for FISD and the community. COOL CATS & SLY DOGS CAR SHOW BENEFIT
LA GRANGE — The Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter in La Grange will host their inaugural Cool Cats and Sly Dogs Car Show benefit Saturday, Nov. 2 beginning at 11 a.m.on the Fayette County Courthouse square the after 5 p.m. at The Crown Bar at 114 S. Main St. in La Grange. Activities include a car show, chili cookoff, silent auction, a drawing for a 1955 Ford pickup and live music. Tickets for the truck drawing are $25. The truck is a “Resto- mod” 1955 F-100 powered by a 302 cu. in. V-8 with an automatic transmission, tilt hood and air conditioning. The band, Passing Strangers will perform from 1 to 4 p.m. on the square. Parking and registration for the car show starts at 8 a.m. that morning.
