The Faith Academy Knights took on the Falcons from Spring Founders in their second district game of the season. The Knights jumped out to the lead early for their homecoming game and never looked back. The Knights had 11 TDs in the first half of play and ended the contest 81-30 at halftime. This is the Knights seventh win in a row after losing week one to Waco Vanguard (4A), making their record 7-1. Junior QB Christian Pillow went 9/10 for 164 yards and four TDs on the passing end. Passing TDs were to Travis Woodley from 28 yards, Dylan Callihan from 8 yards, Jackson Dunn from 6 yards, and Joshua Stark for 11 yards. Pillow showed fantastic mo - bility in the pocket and delivered some exceptional throws to his targets. Cash Eckermann also added another throwing TD on a trick play, a reverse pass, to Dunn for another 36 yard TD right be -
fore the end of the contest. The running game offensive - ly was also led by Woodley and Dunn adding five TDs on the ground. Dunn had TD runs of 2 and 30 yards, going for 53 yards on four carries and four TDs all together. Woodley added three carries for 64 yards and two more TDs from 34 and 5 yards out. Calli - han led the offensive line with the blocking schemes as well as adding him a TD run of 3 yards. Wyatt Davis (TE), Kayden Marcotte (Center), and Riley Heyman (Guard) also had key blocks and opened running lanes all evening for the Knights. Eck ermann was phenomenal on both sides of the ball, with 32 yards rushing, six tackles on defense, and added a 45 yard kickoff re - turn for a TD. Woodley led the defense with eight tackles, two tackles for loss, two intercep - tions, and a fumble recovery. Freshman Michael Satterwhite added three tackles as well as three passes defended. Junior Gage Wilson also played a good game on defense with five tackles and an intercep - tion. Dyllan Olivares added six extra point kicks as well as my fakes with good throws for ex - tra points. The kicking game for the Knights was a smorgesboard with Coach Trey Carter rotating various kickers. Heyman, Ellis Lanham, Callihan and Stark had some incredible kicks on pinning the Falcons deep in their territo - ry. The Knights recovered two onside kicks from Heyman and Lanham. Faith Academy will take on Bryan St Joseph Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at SAB Stadium in Bellville. This will essentially be the district championship for both teams as both are undefeated. The Knights are favored by 25 in the 6 man world. The Knights are also leading the entire state of Texas in scoring through nine weeks averaging 74.6 points a game.
