Tri-county cross country athletes head to state meet

It’s another year where a num- ber of area teams have qualified for state cross country where they will compete at a variety of times on Friday, Nov. 1 and Sat - urday, Nov. 2 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.

Those that have qualified in the 1A girls is Saige Gasaway of Fayetteville; 2A Ruby Rodriguez of Schulenburg; Aubrey Breska, Faith Cantwell, MJ Griffin, Tate Griffin, Alazay Moreno, Alexa Moreno and Olivia Noska of Weimar.

Running in the boys cross country are 3A Jose Briones, Hayes Dingler, Payton Engel - brecht, Victor Flores, Jacob Mo -

rales, Joe Luke Morales and Jael Valles Serrano of Rice; and in 4A Gavin Almaguer, Benjamin Bar -

rera, Samuel Eschenburg, Jayden Martinez, Aaron Munoz, Efrain Villagomez, and Mason Withrow of Sealy.

The 2A girls start Friday, Nov. 1 at 8:15 a.m., then the 4A boys at 10 a.m. The 1A girls start Sat -

urday, Nov. 2 at 8:15 a.m. along with the 3A boys at 10 a.m.
