Santa Program sets dates
LA GRANGE — Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek and the Fayette County Sher- iff's Office announce this year's Deputy Santa Program dates, from Dec. 2 to Dec. 19. Toys will be distributed to participants at three designated locations on Thursday, Dec. 19.
Community members are encouraged to donate toys, which can be dropped off at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.
Please notify a staff member when delivering your donation so you can be properly acknowledged.
Monetary contributions are also welcome and will be used to purchase new toys for the children enrolled in the program.
Sponsorship letters were sent to local businesses and citizens on Sept. 30, and monetary donations can be mailed to: “Deputy Santa,” c/o Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, 1646 North Jefferson, La Grange, TX 78945.
Children eligible for the program must be 12 years or younger and reside in Fayette County.
Parents or guardians must sign their children up in person, as phone registrations will not be accepted. A birth certificate or a copy of the child’s report card is required at the time of registration. Sign-up locations include:
•La Grange: Fayette County Sheriff's Office
•Schulenburg: City Hall
•Fayetteville: Justice of the Peace Office
•Round Top: Round Top State Bank
•Flatonia: City Hall Registration dates are from Dec. 2 to Dec. 19. Pick-up locations, dates, and times will be listed at the bottom of each signup sheet.
