WARRENTON — Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported that on the morning of Oct. 29 around 9:08 a.m., the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a storage container on fire at Bar W Field in Warrenton off State Highway 237.
The Round Top-Warrenton Volunteer Fire Department and Deputy Duane Meagher were no- tified and responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, it was reported smoke was coming from a storage container that contained antiques.
The RT-WVFD quickly extin- guished the fire, which was con tained to one storage container.
The fire was caused by an indi vidual welding on the container, which ignited the wood material inside. Damage was estimated at $40,000.
