Six attend TRTA Conference

HUNTSVILLE — Six Austin County Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) members attended the Texas Retired Teachers Association District 6 Fall Conference at the Education Service Center on Oct. 30 in Huntsville.

District 6 President Danny Stribling presided over a fun and very informative meeting.

Members enjoyed a motivational speech given by Aric Bostick, and State President Ella Gauthier expressed the important influence that TRTA has on our state legislators.

All retired public school personnel are urged to attend the next Austin County Retired Teachers meeting on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Wallis Columbus Club Hall at 703 Columbus Road in Wallis.

Shawna Lozano of Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union will be the guest speaker.
