Live Oaks and Dead Folks hit the square

Live Oaks and Dead Folks hit the square
Walking tours during the Live Oaks and Dead Folks centered around the Columbus square this year instead of the graveyard tours. Several tours took off and covered 14 historical structures on Nov. 2 in downtown Columbus. A tour group stops to hear the history of what many folks still know as the Untermeyer Building. Funds from the ticket sales went to the Nesbitt Memorial Library. Photo by John Jones, Banner Press
A seated tour was given by Nesbitt Memorial Library Director Susan Chandler for those who didn’t feel the urge to walk all of downtown Columbus during the Live Oaks and Dead Folks guided tours on Nov. 2 in Columbus. The seated tour was given at the Live Oak Art Center where guests also enjoyed a great meal by Chef Raoul. Photo by John Jones, Banner Press
