SCHULENBURG - Turtle Wing, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, continues to serve hundreds of families with children with learning challenges, connecting them with the needed services to succeed, helping them afford those services, and creating new opportunities. Last year, over 340 individuals and their families received services funded by Turtle Wing, ranging from speech therapy to after-school art classes. Over 3,300 sessions of therapy, over 400 tutoring sessions, over 1,000 hours of social skills, over 1,600 sessions of afterschool programs, and thousands more hours of Day Hab, Learning Labs, Case management and more were funded by Turtle Wing Foundation.
The end of the year is just as important for Turtle Wing as it is for all of the other amazing nonprofits in the area. This year, from Nov. 1 until Dec. 31, all donations to Turtle Wing Foundation will be matched dollar for dollar up to $15,000, with $5,000 each generously donated from J Bar B Foods & Freyburg Hall. Due to the continued generosity and support by local individuals and businesses like J Bar B Foods and Freyburg Hall, Turtle Wing can continue helping individuals with learning challenges 'FLY' in our rural area.
