NEW BRAUNFELS — The Schulenburg High School foot ball team kept their season alive with an important win vs Three Rivers Nov. 15 at New Braunfels Coogar Stadium in New Braunfels by a final score of 42-28.
This brings Schulenburg’s re- cord to 8-3 for the season and they are another area team that’s hitting their stride in a timely manner.
Key performers for the Short horns were Aaron Janecek with 228 yards on the ground and five rushing touchdowns, Jayse Jan -
da with 88 receiving yards, and Byron Johnson with 63 receiving yards and a touchdown catch.
Head coach Luke Hobbs has totally revamped this team in his two years at the helm. Schulen- burg plays hard, disciplined and they win as a result.
The Shorthorns could be a legitimate state title contender sooner rather than later.
