COLUMBUS - At the recent Small Standard Flower Show, the Columbus Garden Club members reveled in shar -
ing their passion for floral design with the community and the delight of culti - vating various plants. There were 60 horticulture entries, 12 designs, and three sections. The entries were evaluated by Na - tional Garden Club-accredited flower show judges using the NGC Standard System of Awards for all competitive judging. Brenda Boehm won first place and the Designers Choice top award at the r. Janet Johnson won the Botanical Arts award for her fairy garden, a Growers Choice Award for an African Violet, a Growers Choice Award for a Heart Leaf Hoya, and the overall Horticulture Ex - cellence award.
Also participating in the show were Hondo, Houston and Rockport.
