Holiday
Hold'em
Would you like to maintain or even lose weight this holiday season? A Multi-County Community Wellness program, Holiday Hold’em, will begin soon, states Michelle Wright, Distinguished Extension Agent - Family & Community Health.
The program also encourages you to focus on consuming five servings of vegetables and fruits each day and continuing to engage in regular physical activity. The program will walk you through interactive activities and scenarios to help you learn how to make correct decisions.
Starting on Nov. 24, you will weigh in weekly at home, your fitness center, or your preferred site.
Weight and health logs will be provided to help keep track of your habits and progress throughout the series.
Taking part in this program for a healthier you will take less than five minutes each week.
Make it a holiday challenge and get your office, friends, and/or family involved. Wright hopes you will join and maintain no gain this holiday season.
