Columbus QB Schobel named 2024 Mr. Texas Football finalist

Columbus senior quarterback Adam Schobel has been named a finalist for the Dave Campbell's Texas Football 2024 Mr. Tex- as Football Player of the Year Award due to his stellar play on the field this season. Schobel is one of 10 total finalists for the award and the sharp throwing QB is committed to play football for Texas Christian University (TCU) next year.

Schobel has racked up the stats all year and has done it while leading his team to potentially making the state football cham - pionship game. He rarely throws a bad ball and was the starter on varsity ever since his freshman year. This comes to no surprise as Schobel has cemented himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the state of Texas throughout his entire career.

The other finalist include quarterbacks Carbea Collier, Alvarado; and Keelon Russell, Duncanville; and quarterback/ defensive back Armando Lujan, Sunray. Running backs Deon -
