Columbus Garden Club December awards announced

The Columbus Garden Club awarded December Yard of the Month to Stacy and Michael Griffin of 426 Front St. in Columbus. This double lot is full of flowers, grasses, and shrubs with a strong focus on native plants that are pollinator favorites.
The December Community Beautification Award recipient is St. John's Episcopal Church at 915 Travis St. in Columbus. The church's expansive side yard boasts a lovely old oak with drooping elbows that was the perfect setting to install its Memorial Serenity Garden around the tree adding walking paths, benches and picnic tables. St. John's welcomes all to this spiritual oasis.
