Schobel wins 2024 Mr. Texas Football Player of the Year Award

HOUSTON — Columbus High School senior quarterback and Texas Christian University (TCU) football commit Adam Schobel has been crowned the winner of the 2024 Mr. Texas Football Player of the Year Award.

He has been the starting quarterback for Columbus ever since he was a freshman and he’s shown next level talent ever since he stepped on the field.

Schobel puts it on the money with his throws nearly every time and recently led his team to its first ever state championship title last December.

Schobel was recognized on the field during the Kinder's Tex as Bowl last Dec. 31, 2024, in a matchup featuring the Baylor Bears and LSU Tigers, which was held at NRG Stadium in Houston and is the home of the Houston Texans.

As Schobel still has tons of football to be played at the college level, there’s no question that he has the potential to become a NFL talent.
