CARMINE — The Round Top-Carmine High School girl’s basketball team has a record just above the .500 mark and seem to be trending in the right direction after a huge win over Dime Box High School Jan. 3 by a final score of 80-23.
This is the Cubettes biggest win of the season in terms of margin of victory and key players in this game were Tess Eilers with 28 points, Jill Eilers with 19 points, and Madison Markwardt with 14 points.
Round Top is led by head coach Catie Weishuhn, who is no stranger to the coaching spotlight as she’s had a bunch of quality volleyball teams as head coach there as well. Weishuhn knows basketball and is really good at holding players accountable. Round Top has coaching and athletes that make them a more than respectable team in the tri-county area.
