LA GRANGE The Blue -
bonnet Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn educational program is a series of nine informational meetings designed to provide gardening or general landscaping information for homeowners.
Fayette County Master Gardeners plan and present a variety of programs from experts in the area and across the state.
This series is designed with the homeowner in mind; bring your lunch and learn about a variety of topics that help you have a more productive garden, pretti- er flower beds, or how to better
understand your landscape ecosystems.
This month’s topic, “All About
Bulbs," is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 14, and the guest speaker is Master Gardener Randy Albers.
Like most plants, bulbs appreci ate well-drained soil rich in organic matter.
Growing bulbs in Central Texas or anywhere in the South can be challenging. Most traditional bulbs require a winter
chill period. Wide fluctuations in spring weather also impacts bloom quality.
Registration begins at 11:50 a.m. and the program lasts until 12:50 p.m. The Lunch-N-Learn Series is held at the Fayette County Agricultural Building at 255 Svoboda Ln. in La Grange. All Master Gardener Lunch-NLearn programs are free to the public and you are encouraged to bring your own lunch and drink.
Light refreshments are available by Master Gardener hospitality hosts.
