Greater Sealy Area Chamber 2024 Year-End Review

SEALY – Founded in 1937, the Greater Sealy Area Chamber brings 90 years of strengthening and promoting the quality of life through its business communi- ty. 2024 ends with numbers that translate into a win for the businesses and citizens of Sealy.

- 271 members, with 72 new members added this year.

- 38 ribbon cuttings - 4 groundbreakings

- 33 legacy inductions The Greater Sealy Area Chamber hosted 12 Lunch and Learns with an attendance of 50-200 per event. There were eleven unique business locations for Thirsty Thursdays and eleven events such as the Senior Health Fair, Fantasy of Lights, Scarecrow Contest, Pink Friday, Community Garage Sale, three Austin County Mixers, Manufacturing Day and two Focused Educational Series with EDC and Partners.

Fundraising events were an annual banquet with 500 guests, a sold-out Golf Tournament with 88 players, and a first-time self-published magazine about Sealy.

The chamber worked with the government on legislative priorities and the Austin County Candidate Forum.

The chamber has 14 board of directors and 15 blue blazers.

How does this work for the businesses that belong to the chamber and the Sealy residents?

It put the spotlight on the great things about Sealy.

The chamber has a very active Facebook and Instagram page. It had over 28 website visits, sent out 24 Email Blasts and distributed more than 4,500 magazines state-wide. Welcome Bags went out to new residents in three cities. It hosted four Austin County News Online segments and was featured on six games by the Sealy Sports Network, and programs were advertised in two utility bill mailings.
