Celebrating House #30 in Alleyton: In May, Colorado Coun - ty Habitat for Humanity proudly completed its 30th home, and expressed their appreciation to the sponsorship from the Catholic Daughters Texas State Court, CDA. Also thanked their board member and project manager Chris Vasquez for making this milestone possible.
Land Purchased in Columbus: In August, Nona Briscoe sold CCHfH a lot at a generous discount to help build an affordable home for a hardworking family.
Ground Blessing for House
#31 in Weimar: In November, Father Chase Goodman blessed the future home of the Posada family. After losing her husband in 2021, Nicole Posada has shown remarkable courage in raising her children, Gio and Elie, with resilience and hope.
Housing Preservation Grant: In October, CCHfH received $120,000 from the USDA to as- sist senior citizens with critical home repairs. Repairs have started for four families with plans to help six more using this grant.
Critical Home Repairs: In 2024, CCHfH helped six low-income senior citizens with critical repairs. They hope to help 12 families in 2025. CCHfH needs your support to reach this goal Veterans' Build Program: CCHfH launched this new initia tive to assist veterans with critical home repairs and hosted its first Veterans' Lunch in November.
Community Connections Day: The 2nd Annual Community Connections Day in April was attended by over 20 organi- zations, raising funds and aware ness for various local causes, strengthening the community.
Youth Art Exhibit: In May, CCHfH showcased 873 pieces of youth art at the Live Oak Arts
Center with the theme 'A Future Home in 2024."
Pumpkin Patch & Scarecrow Contest: October's 3rd An nual Pumpkin Patch raised over $23,000. The 2nd Annual Scarecrow Contest had 38 entries from three cities and over 1,200 online votes. CCHfH continues to bring the communities together.
Financial Education Classes: In the Spring, we had over 100 individuals attend the financial education series supported by local banks and businesses to educate, empower, and help instill stability and self-reliance in our community.
