GO TEXAN VALENTINE'S DINNER/DANCE COLUMBUS - The Colorado County Go Texan Valentine's Dinner and Dance will be held Friday, Feb. 7 at the Colorado Coun- ty Fairgrounds at 1146 Crossroads Blvd. in Columbus. Tickets for the dinner and dance are $40 per person. Happy hour begins at 6 p.m. with limited complimentary bear and wine, BYOB. Whistling Duck will be on site. A ribeye dinner will be served at 7 p.m. A dance, with music provided by Chaser Crouch, begins at 8 p.m. After 8 p.m., dance only is $15 per person. FAYETTEVILLE BLOOD DRIVE SET

FAYETTEVILLE - The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will conduct a blood drive on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in front of the old firestation on the square in Fayetteville. Drop ins are welcome or you can contact Jonathan Noska at 979-9669569 to make an appointment. The drive is sponsored by the Fayetteville Knights of Columbus but everyone is invited. The need for blood is great.

WALLIS KC TO HOLD WILD GAME SUPPER

WALLIS — The Wallis Knights of Columbus will hold its an- nual wild game supper and grand raffle Friday, Jan. 24 at the hall at 703 Columbus Rd. in Wallis. Doors open at 6 p.m. and serving begins at 7 p.m. One hundred rifles will be raffled off. Raffle tickets are $25 per person. The event will also honor area clergy and law enforcement. No charge for the meal however donations are greatly appreciated.

CDA & KC TO HOLD TURKEY/DRESSING DINNER 

ALLEYTON — The Catholic Daughters and the Knights of Columbus will hold a turkey and dressing dinner (dine-in or drive-th- ru), Sunday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. at St. Roch Parish Hall at 1600 Frels burg Rd. in Alleyton. The meal is $15 per person. There will be dessert auction and silent auction.

KC TO SELL CHICKEN & SAUSAGE

FRELSBURG — The Frelsburg Knights of Columbus Council will be selling chicken and sausage barbecue to go Sunday, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to noon at Sts. Peter & Paul Diamond Center in Frelsburg. RT FAMILY LIBRARY TO HOLD CHILI COOK-OFF 

ROUND TOP — The Round Top Family Library 20th Annual Chili Cook-Off will be held Sunday, Jan. 19 at noon at the Round Top Rifle Hall at 710 FM 1457 in Round Top. Music will be by the Black Cat Choir. Tickets are $10 (children under 12 are free).

NUVFD TO SERVE PORK STEAK DINNERS 

NEW ULM - The New Ulm Volunteer Fire Department will hold a pork steak dinner, including green beans and buttered potatos, drive-thru fundraiser Sunday, Jan. 19 at New Ulm Firemen’s Park on Track Road in New Ulm. The drive-thru line for plates to go will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Desserts will be available. Advance tickets only are $15 per plate. Deadline to buy meal tickets is Wednesday, Jan. 15. FRIED CHICKEN DINNER FUNDRAISER 

INDUSTRY - The Industry Methodist Church will hold a fried chicken dinner fundraiser, drive-thru only, Sunday, Jan.

26 at the Industry Volunteer Fire Department Hall (enter from Main Street-back entrance) in Industry. Tickets are $15 per plate which includes homemade fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, green beans and pickle. The drive-thru line begins at 10:30 a.m. until food runs out. Dessert available for a free-will donation.

FRIENDS OF SFA STATE PARK TO MEET 

SAN FELIPE — Friends of Stephen F. Austin State Park meet the last Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Nature Center in San Felipe. The meeting is open to the public, so please come and help support the park.
