FLATONIA — The Flatonia High School girl’s basketball team put a beat down on Shiner High School Jan. 22 at Bulldogs Gym in Flatonia by a final score of 73-7.
Lady Bulldogs junior guard Summer Sodek led the way once again with 31 points as Sodek has been a scoring machine all year long. Sodek also recorded 11 rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Other key contributors were Kat Sullivan with 11 rebounds, Elzah Herrera with five steals and four assists, and Allie Uzzell with seven rebounds.
Flatonia scored 28 points in the first quarter to Shiner's four points.
The Lady Bulldogs proceeded to hold the Lady Comanches scoreless in the second quarter for a 50-4 lead at halftime.
As Shiner only scored three points in the third quarter and was held scoreless again in the fourth quarter, Flatonia went on to win handedly at 73-7.
