INDUSTRY — Austin County Sheriff deputies and medics were dispatched on Jan. 21 to a residence on Jones Road in Industry after the Austin County Sheriff Dispatch Office received a call in the early morning hours about multiple victims had been stabbed.
Deputies discovered two adult victims who had multiple stab wounds. They were transported to hospitals for emergency treatment for life-threatening injuries. Joshua Waters, the assailant, was known to both victims and had fled the scene before law enforce ment arrived.
Waters had changed clothes and ran through the woods northeast of Industry. Deputies began tracking Waters across multiple properties on foot.
Utilizing an ACSO-specialized drone and tracking software, deputies located Waters.
Waters was arrested and transported to the Austin County Jail in Bellville without anyone else receiving injuries.
