Koehn says, “It has been my pleasure to work with my support staff, law en- forcement officers and public officials in Austin County and across the state. Our community is a better place because of the top-quality talent willing to dedicate their time and efforts to public service.
Koehn adds, “Serving Austin County as your chief law enforcement officer has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I have worked hard over the years to use my position to provide stability and safety to our citizens and to give back to a community that has always given me so much.”
Koehn states he will write Governor Greg Abbott, recommending Brandy Robinson be appointed to fill the bal ance of his term until the next election in 2026. Robinson is the First Assistant District Attorney, which she has held for almost 20 years, and will be the acting District Attorney until an appointment is made.
