Industry State Bank participates in Credit for Life program

COLUMBUS — Industry State Bank participated in the Credit for Life program put on by the Columbus Christian Women’s Organization on Jan. 31 at Rice High School in Altair.

This program allowed high school seniors a trial run at the adult world, which they are about to truly experience after graduation in May.

The students received a credit score and job salary and had to make various financial decisions, such as buying a car, finding

housing, choosing a credit card, etc. ISB was able to lend a hand in the Credit Counseling Center, where the students could see if they had been successful in their decision-making process. The students gained a lot of insight through the program, and ISB was proud to be a part of it.

It takes money to run a volunteer fire department, and the over whelming response to stew night at Nada on Feb. 1 for the Garwood Volunteer Fire Department shows that the area communities support the GVFD’s volunteer members.
