Weimar High School foot - ball center Juan Hernandez has made the 2024 TSWA (Texas Sports Writers Association) All-State Football Team. Weimar had an overall re -
cord of 7-5 for the season and an impressive 5-1 record in
district play.
The Wildcats won their first playoff game against Santa Maria after making a deep run last year and went down to Mason High School in the next round.
Weimar is led by head coach Wade Griffin and there's no doubt that this pro gram is heading in the right direction as it's still way early in the Griffin tenure. Being a senior, Hernandez was on the team last year that went 10-3 and has one of the most important positions on the field, the center position in having to snap the football to the quarterback. Hernandez not only made the all-state team, he was on a bunch of successful Weimar teams where he had a lot to do with their success.
