The Fayetteville boy’s basketball team is surging at the right time as they went undefeated in district play for the season with a record of 12-0 and have an overall record of 25-8, recently winning their last 15 games in a row. This team is dominant, has all the pieces to the puzzle, and has the ability to compete with the best competition in the state of Texas.
The Lions showed this kind of winning last year as they were able to make it to the state tournament, but being able to win like this two years in a row shows that a historical legacy is intact. Head coach Jake Diggs has athletes, a superb game plan, and personnel that knows what it takes to not only make it to the ultimate stage, but contend and even win at the highest level. We may see this team top what they did last year as they very much have the potential to take home a state championship trophy with the way they’ve been playing.
