Journeystills Photography hosts Pooch Playoffs

COLUMBUS — Alisha Brummett, owner of Journeystills Photography combines her passion for pets with a purpose-driven mission. She is hosting Pooch Playoffs, a fun and compet- itive pet photography event benefiting Deuce’s Drea Hunting Dog Sanctuary, a nonprofit that provides care for retired senior hunting dogs who would otherwise be euthanized.

“This year has been especially challenging for charities, so a group of photographers and I came together to create a fun and meaningful way to help. Pooch Playoffs is a lighthearted compe- tition to find Colorado County's 'Ulti- Mutt Cutie’ while supporting Deuce’s Dream,” said Brummet The bracket-style competition runs until Feb 28, featuring 16 local dogscompeting for exciting prizes from sponsors—including the ulti-mutt grand prize! In March, two dogs will face off in an online voting round each week, with the winners advancing until one is crowned Colorado County’s Ulti-Mutt Cutie. The local champion may even move on to a national competition. Pet owners can register their pooch for a $99 donation that will go to Deuce’s Dream. This includes a professional pet portrait session, an acrylic keychain featuring their pup's photo, and a WagBag filled with treats for both pets and owner.

“Our pets are such cherished members of our families, yet we often forget to have professional portraits taken of them. Pooch Playoffs is a fun way to celebrate our furry friends while giving back to a great cause,” said Brummett.
