SEALY – High fashion from the 1930s was abundant at the Sealy Area Historical Society’s “A Night in the 1930s” on Feb. 15 at Emery’s Buffalo Creek Winery.
On the stage were authentic vintage fashions from the 1930s, including everything from summery sundresses to formal evening gowns. Music from the 1930s accompanied the fashion show. While guests dined, dance scenes clipped from 1930s movies were projected on the stage.
Models participating in the fashion show included students from Sealy ISD’s drama department and several local residents. Summer Garcia, Virginia Gilbert, Hayden Hartman, Hillary Kotwal, Kaitlyn Kloss, Erin Kramptiz, Isabella Merryman, Ansley Owen, Holley Singer and Ria Torres were on the runway. Students from Sealy High School volunteered as servers and model assistants.
The event was a fundraiser for the Sealy Area Historical Society, with all funds going toward restoring the 1920s Bozeman House, which was recently moved to the Sealy Historical Park.
