football lineman Ricky Walton has signed to play college foot - ball at Texas Lutheran Universi - ty, a NCAA Division III school located in Seguin. Walton was an essential part to Schulenburg's success as he helped lead them to playoff appearances in his last two seasons and also helped lead his team to a winning record of 8-4 overall and 4-2 in district play for his last season.
Walton comes from an ath- letic family as his older brother, Rodney Walton, was the starting point guard for the Schulenburg basketball team a couple years ago. With Walton’s athleticism and size, there's great optimism that he’ll continue to have success at the collegiate level.
