Red Flag Warning issued for area

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the tri-county area. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are happening or expected, such as high winds, low humidity and dry fuels. This makes the conditions right for fires to start easily and spread rapidly.

Avoid burning anything outdoors.

Even small embers can spark a wildfire.

Secure trailer chains and avoid dragging metals that could cause sparks. Do not tow a barbecue pit while coals are burn- ing in the firebox. Properly dispose of cigarette buts and refrain from throwing them out of the vehicle window. Remove pine needles and leaves from roofs, gut- ters and eaves. Report any signs of fire immediately by calling 911.
