Outlaw gang members arrested during routine patrols

FAYETTE COUNTY - Sheriff Keith Korenek reports a busy two days arresting people on drugs and gun violations. One of those arrests shows just how dangerous situations can be.

Deputy Herman Olvera was patrolling Interstate 10 on Feb. 25, when he conducted a traffic stop near Schulenburg. The two male occupants were fidgety and making furtive movements as Olvera approached. Olvera became suspicious so he conducted an officer safety search of the vehicle.

Deputy Olvera uncovered a .38 caliber gun in the immediate vicinity. The gun was reported stolen and both males were convicted felons and prohibited from being in possession of a firearm.

Deputy Olvera made the discovery of two leather vests that identified the two males as members of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gang with one as the vice president of the organization.

Arrested was Jeffrey Timpson, 65, and Luis Trigo Garcia Jr., 50, both of Sequin.

Sgt. Ryan Meagher stopped a vehicle for an expired registration on Feb. 24. A consented search of the ve - hicle uncovered 4.75 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, 26 vape cartridges with THC, 11 containers of THC wax and 3.25 ounces of marijuana. The driver, Brett Nixon, 24, of Houston was arrested and taken to jail in La Grange.

Deputy Seth Nagel stopped a vehicle on Feb. 25 for a traffic violation. Deputy Nagel asked the driver to step out of the vehicle so he could search it. The driver attempted to shut the door and drive away. Deputy Nagel and Sgt. Meagher pulled him from the vehicle and, after a brief struggle, sub dued the driver. However, not before the vehicle had rolled across lanes of traffic and into the center median. Two vehicles stopped a safe distance away and blocked traffic as the deputies were attempting to arrest the driver.

The vehicle had been stolen out of Travis County and inside were several types of narcotics including cocaine, crack cocaine, prescription pills and marijuana. Anthony Skipper, 29, of Katy was arrested and put in jail in La Grange.
