SEALY KC LENTEN FISH FRY RETURNS
SEALY — The Sealy Knights of Columbus announce the return of their annual Famous Lenten Fish Fry, every Friday through April 18 at the Sealy Columbus Club Hall at 1310 Hwy 90 West in Sealy, and will continue every Friday during Lent. Serving drive-thru only, from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m., for only $13 a plate. Cash or most major credit cards accepted. Menu will include fried fish, French fries, pinto beans, coleslaw and hush puppies. Proceeds will benefit Sealy KC programs. Desserts are available from the Sealy Catholic Daughters of Americas or their junior court.
EL SENIOR CITIZENS DANCE TO START BACK UP
EAST BERNARD — The Eagle Lake Senior Citizens Dance will be joining forces with the American Legion Hall in East Ber- nard. Blue Denim will provide the music for the first dance to be held April 4 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The dance will remain the same format including pot luck and door prizes. Tickets are $10 per person. The Red Ravens are scheduled for June 6 and Czechaholics for Aug. 1. Everyone is invited.
FRELSBURG KC PLANS FISH FRYS
FRELSBURG — The Frelsburg Knights of Columbus Council No. 5157 will sponsor its Friday Night Fish Frys, March 28, and April 4 and 11, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Diamond Center in Frelsburg. The catfish meals, dine in or plates to go, are $15 per plate and fish by the pound $15 per pound. Homemade des - serts will be available by St. Anne's Altar Society. Raffle tickets will be available.
CHESS TOURNAMENT TO BE HELD LA GRANGE — The 3rd Annual Habitat Gambit Chess Tour- nament benefiting Fayette County Habitat for Humanity will be held Saturday, March 29 at the Randolph Recreation Center located at 653 E. Pearl St. in La Grange. There will be three rounds (G15). BYO chess clock or phone with chess clock app. Primary division for ages 5-16 and senior division for ages 17 and up. This is a non-sanctioned event so no rating will be awarded. Entry fee is $10 which is payable at check-in from 9 to 9:15 a.m. on March 29. Pre-registration is recommended as space is limited. SCHULENBURG SAUSAGEFEST PLANNED SCHULENBURG — The 10th annual Schulenburg Sausagefest will be held Saturday, April 5 from 11:15 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. in downtwon Schulenburg. The event will start at 11:15 a.m. with the shortest parade in Texas. Live music will be available all day featuring Doc West Music, The Czechaholics, and Mark Halata & Texavia. Other activities include arts and crafts, children’s activities, grand march, fun run, American Legion Black Bean Motorcycle Ride, hog-calling contest and sausage-toss contest. There will also be great food, dancing in the street, cold beverages and biergarten. The event is free. SENIORS TOGETHER SOCIAL SCHEDULE Seniors Together, a place for senior’s, 55 years or older to so- cialize with others is held every first and third Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Lighthouse Fellowship Hall at 201 Veteran’s Dr. in Columbus. and at the Weimar Civic Center in Weimar on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The events includes card games, board games, Bingo with prizes, coffee and tea, movies, lunch provided, educational speakers, field trips including trips to casinos and so cial gathering.

LA GRANGE — In order for our staff to catch up on the processing of donations, Second Chance Emporium in La Grange will not be accepting donations April 7-21. The donations dropoff area will reopen on Tuesday, April 22.
ROUND TOP TO HOLD EASTER BAKE SALE ROUND TOP — Round Top Farm & Ranch Supply will host a bake sale offering Easter goodies Thursday, April 17 from 8 a.m. until all gone at their store located at 2121 Hwy 237 North in Round Top. Proceeds will benefit CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), and Fayette County Child Welfare Board and their Rainbow Room. Each of the organizations work closely with the county Child Protective Services (CPA) to advocate and assist with the needs of children who are in CPS custody.
