Sealy High School track run- ner Gavin Almaguer finished first in the 1600 meter run at the Swamp Relays last Wednesday at Rice High School in Altair with a time of 4:40.03. Almaguer has qualified for state track as well as cross coun - try in the past and he's also known for finishing first in a bunch of events that he participates in.
Almaguer has proven himself as an elite runner that rarely fin - ishes towards the bottom of the pack and usually always finishes towards the top if he's not taking the first place crown.
