Notice to Colorado County voters

Colorado County will hold all local elections on Saturday, May 3. Whatever district you are eligible to vote in will automatically be on your ballot. Please speak directly to an election official before you cast your ballot if you think you are eligible for additional races or have questions.

Monday, April 21, is San Jacinto Day, a State Holiday, and there is NO early voting. Early Voting and Election dates are prescribed by the state of Texas and Colorado County has no authority to make any adjustments to those dates.

Early Voting will run Tuesday, April 22 – Tuesday, April 29, Weekdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There are no weekend or extended voting hours this election cycle so please plan accordingly.

Sample ballots are published and available and are in the hallway at the Colorado County Annex, at the Colorado County Election Center, online, http:// www.co.colorado.tx.us/page/colorado, the RCISD administration offices, Eagle Lake City Hall, and Weimar City Hall.

If you are unsure of your voter registration status, call the Election Office, at 979-732-6860, so we can verify the information for you. If you do not have a voter registration card, don’t fret; you can vote solely by using your picture ID (most common Driv - er's License) but you must be reg istered by April 3 to be eligible to vote.

If you are planning and qual- ified to vote by mail you need to consider the time it takes to process, mail, vote, and return your ballot.

The deadline for applications to be received is April 22.

The deadline for the ballot by mail to be returned is election day, May 3.
