LA GRANGE — The old adage of what comes up must come down was evident during the annual Fayette County Sheriff’s Posse Ram Rodeo held on April 4 and 5 at the rodeo arena near La Grange. Bronc riders, calf wranglers and mutton busters had a hard time staying off the ground.
The annual event featured bareback riding, saddle bronc, calf scramble, women’s breakaway, tie-down, mutton busting, team roping, bull riding and so much more. A Go Texan barbecue and Wild Bill Kelso Memorial Scholarship Team Roping was added this year.

As always, a Texas rodeo starts out with the American flag and a prayer. The flag was gracefully carried by Teagan Kallus, 16, from Fayetteville. Her parents are Russell and Tina Kallus. Photo by John Jones, Banner Press
