Fayette County 4-Hers compete at District 11 4-H Food Show and Food Challenge

Numerous Fayette County 4-Hers competed in the 2022 District 11 4-H Food Show and Food Challenge Contest on Dec. 9 and Dec. 10 in Cuero.

Numerous Fayette County 4-Hers competed in the 2022 District 11 4-H Food Show and Food Challenge Contest on Dec. 9 and Dec. 10 in Cuero.

In the Food Challenge Contest, all four teams placed in the top three of their categories.

2 Hot 2 Handle placed first in the Senior Appetizer Category and will advance to Texas 4-H Roundup in June. Team members consisted of Cooper Mau, Harper Mau, Logan Poncik and Mackenzie Poncik.

Creative Cooks placed first in the Senior Side Dish Category and will advance to Texas 4-H Roundup in June. Team members consisted of Eleanor Carey, Tori Newton and Elena Supak.

Shaker Bakers placed first in the Junior/Intermediate Appetizer Category. Team members consisted of Scotti Beseda, MacKayla Griffin, Hailey Janish and Kandon Kaspar.

Simmer Down placed third in the Junior/Intermediate Main Dish Category. Team members consisted of Tatum Fritsch, Ally Kibby and Sawyer Mau.

Tori Newton placed second in the Senior Main Dish Category in the Food Show. Taylyn Newton placed second in the Junior Main Dish Category.

Chloe Oliva competed in the Junior Main Dish Category and Sarita Kinsey competed in the Intermediate Appetizer Category.
