SCHULENBURG — The Schulenburg Lions Club seeks to promote leadership and continuing education by offering Non-Traditional Student Scholarships.
The $1,000 scholarship is open to residents of Schulenburg or to those who work in Schulenburg and live in the tri-county area.
A non-traditional student is someone who is pursuing secondary education after high school, has delayed enrollment due to personal reasons, works full-time, a desire to obtain a work certification, has depen dents, is a single parent, attend school part-time, or has a finan cial need.
Applicants can be enrolled in technical school, a nursing program, 4-year university, graduate school or a work-related certifica tion program.
