Flatonia Postmaster and resident Michael Joseph McKimm, 44, was arrested for the shooting of a Lavaca County man on March 5.
The shooting took place at the victim’s residence after McKimm tracked his wife’s cell phone and found her vehicle at the unidenti- fied victim's home.
The Lavaca County Today reports that McKimm took a 9mm pistol from his wife’s vehicle and began banging on the door of the residence.
An altercation led to the shooting. Deputies arrested McKimm without incident when they found him sitting nearby waiting for law enforcement to arrive.
The unidentified victim re mains in critical condition at a hospital in San Antonio. McKimm posted the $100,000 bond set by Lavaca County Pct. 2 JP Travis Hill.
