The Columbus Historical Preservation Trust (CHPT) is hosting a “Hop Into Spring” Online Auction from March 22-26 to raise funds for the ongoing Stafford Opera House “Repair and Restore Project.”

“Maintaining our properties is always at the forefront of how CHPT uses donated funds. This year will be no different,” said Julie Prause, CHPT president. “We’re concentrating on the aesthetics of the Stafford Opera House to provide that ‘Oh wow!’ factor for those attending the special Columbus 200 Celebration and its' festivities on the Courthouse Square. To accomplish this, we’ve set a goal to raise $10,000 from this online auction.”

The auction catalog is now available for viewing. Bidding will open at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22 and will close at 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 26.

To view the auction catalog, interested bidders can visit the Events page on the CHPT website (www.columbushpt.org). CHPT will be spotlighting many of the auction items on their Facebook page (www.facebook. com/ColumbusHistoricalPreservationTrust) now through the last day of bidding.

To bid, create a user account via the online auction site. Guests can also sign up to receive email notifications to keep up to date with newly added auction items or outbid notices. There is no cost to create an account or view the auction catalog.
