After the reading of the proclamation, Colorado County Judge Ty Prause said, 'I want to thank the foundation as there are not near enough services in rural areas as there are in larger areas. Thank you for your time.'

During the public comments, Billy Kahn introduced the court to A Better Columbus (ABC), a non-profit conceived and launched by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. Kahn read, 'The mission of ABC is to create a vibrant community, connecting residents, visitors and businesses to encourage growth while celebrating our heritage. One of the first projects sanctioned by ABC, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, was the giant color mural downtown on a Spring Street building at the corner of Milam Street, by muralist Tyler Kay. The painting of the 'Greetings from Columbus' mural began in January 2022 and was completed in April. The project was the first of many ventures being considered to help improve and promote the city’s charm.'
