LA GRANGE — Diane Rose, also known as the “Amazing Quilter” will be the guest speaker at the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 10 a.m. at the Randolph Recreaction Center located at 653 E. Pearl St.-Room A East in La Grange.
Rose has been blind since 1984, taught herself quilting in 1989, has made over 1,100 quilts and sold quilts to Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and even President George W. Bush.
During her presentation, she will demonstrate her quilting techniques and have boutique items and notions for sale. If you would like to make any purchases from her, please come prepared with either cash or a check.
The CVQG meetings begin at 6 p.m. on even months and at 10 a.m. on odd months and meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Bring a friend and come join us as we kick the year off right!
