The Lady Horns softball team has earned an overall record above the .500 mark under head coach Gilbert Price at 9-5 with a handful of early wins and recently defeating Moulton and Flatonia, which are both teams in the same district. Schulenburg beat Moulton 20-4 and beat Flatonia 11-3.
Schulenburg junior Rilee Sanchez stood out and went two for four with two RBI’s and two runs scored in the Moulton game, then junior Hailey Goode shined in the Flatonia game, going a perfect three for three with two runs scored.
Sophomore Olivia Mathis added two RBi’s in the Flatonia game as well.
