Lady Cardinals volleyball player Claire Klausmeyer has been lighting it up in club ball after helping lead Columbus to a state tournament last season.
On March 3 thru 5, Klausmeyer went with the Houston Stars 18 Adidas team to the Northeast Qualifier volleyball tournament.
A number of club teams from across the country go to this tournament to earn a bid in the National Tournament in Colum- bus, Ohio. The Stars finished first in the gold bracket and se cured their spot at Nationals.
Klausmeyer is on a team full of older girls where most have already committed to play at the college level, but she’s been holding her own and blending in well, especially in the blocks category. The Stars have an overall record of 39-6 with two more tournaments to play and are on a great pace to continue the success they’ve been having.
