COLUMBUS — Colorado County Chief Appraiser Jonathan Huebner resigned with an effective last day of March 17.
His resignation was announced after an executive session during a regularly scheduled meeting of the Colorado County Central Appraisal District on March 14.
Appraisal Board President Michael Trefny responded to Huebner’s resignation. Without having the opportunity to consult with the other board members, Mr. Trefny stated “Mr. Huebner stated to the CAD board that he resigned to take a job with the Montgomery County Appraisal District. Only Mr. Huebner knows why he resigned, but there have been multiple concerns raised about Mr. Huebner, including the lapse of his state-required appraisal license for a lengthy period while he was employed here as the Chief Appraiser.”
Huebner has been the chief appraiser for less than a year. He was hired to replace outgoing appraiser Robert Maas in 2022.
