Brenda Kay Meyer, 62, of Wharton, Texas, passed away on August 31, 2024 in Houston, Texas. She was born on March 22, 1962 to Earl Gene Jones and Dorothy (Matzke) Jones in Eagle Lake, Texas. On May 25, 1978 she married Robert Fred Meyer. Brenda worked as the property manager for Shuart Farms in Eagle Lake, Texas for many years. Brenda enjoyed spending time at the beach, boating, and time on the river. She loved to dance and enjoyed drinks with friends and family. Brenda is survived by her son Shawn Meyer and wife Christie; and grandchildren Naytin Meyer, Ty Meyer, and Lexi Fazin. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Dorothy Jones; husband Robert Meyer; daughter Christie Meyer; and son Dustin 'Dusty' Meyer.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas. Deacon John Glueck will be offi ciating. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM on Thursday.

Burial will take place in Geiger Cemetery in Sublime, Texas. Pallbearers are Naytin Meyer, Ty Meyer, David Meyer, Sean Dulany, Gary Barnes, Rodney Smith and Rupert Contreras.
