December 12, 2006 — October 2, 2024 2 Aleksander Price Medrano, 17, of Columbus, Texas, passed away on October 2, 2024 in Houston, Texas following a brief illness.

December 12, 2006 — October 2, 2024 2 Aleksander Price Medrano, 17, of Columbus, Texas, passed away on October 2, 2024 in Houston, Texas following a brief illness.

He was born on December 12, 2006 to Carlos Daniel Medrano and Dawn (Kallus) Medrano in Tomball, Texas.

Aleks was a senior at Columbus High School and a member of the CHS football team. He was a member of the C3YM youth group and a former graduate of St. Anthony Catholic school. He was also a former cub scout.

Aleks was a host at Nancy’s Steakhouse and loved working in the outdoors. He enjoyed football, golf, fishing, dancing and spending time with his family at Sunday lunch.

e lu who he planned to marry, Addison Grace Pilsner; brother Sean-Aaron Taylor; grandparents Diane Kallus, Dennis Kallus, and Alma Rangel; aunt Deidre and uncle Estaban Martinez, aunt Magali Medrano and husband Cedric Fitzgerald, uncle Ivan Medrano and Janelle Coulter; cousins Andrew, Penelope, Alyssa, Cayson, and Mia; niece Isabella.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Florine Torres, Daniel Vana, Eugenia Kallus, Johnny Kallus, Daniel Rangel Avalos, and Carmen Rangel.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas. A parish prayer service and rosary followed at 7:00 PM led by Deacon Rusty Theut.

Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus, Texas. Fr. James Dvorak officiated. Visitation at church was from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Burial took place in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Columbus, Texas.

Pallbearers were Larry Cloninger, Trey Scott, Sean-Aaron Taylor, Ivan Medrano, Davy Pilsner, and Esteban Martinez. Honorary pallbearers were the Columbus Varsity Football Team, coaches and Mrs. Harington.
