Angeline Koehl Genzer, 88, of Rosenberg, Texas passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, in Sugar Land, Texas. She was born on November 19, 1936, to Willie F. Koehl and Hattie (Fuchs) Koehl in Sealy, Texas. Angeline grew up in the Bernardo, Texas, area and graduated from Columbus High School in 1955. A few years later, she moved to Rosenberg, Texas where she lived the remainder of her life.
She was an avid flower and vegetable gardener all her life. She loved her pets especially recently her cat, Blackjack, and her dog, Skipper. She enjoyed going to various church picnics throughout the year and trying her luck at cake walk and bingo.
She encouraged her daughters to pursue their educational degrees, and was always proud of her grandchildren that graduated with honors, excelled in sports and pursued higher education.
Angeline was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Hattie Koehl and baby brother Koehl.
Angeline is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Schulte and husband, Marcus, of Rosenberg, Texas and Kristi Kocian of Wharton, Texas; five grandchildren, Shannon Norton and husband Tyler, Lauren Wal ton and husband Sam, Brett Kocian, Amber Kocian and Carissa Ko- cian; and three great-grandchildren, Elliot, Nikki, and Hallie Norton.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at St. Roch Catholic Church in Alleyton, Texas, followed by a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Reverend James Dvor- ak will officiate the services. Burial will follow at St. Roch Catholic Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Brett Kocian, Amber Kocian, Shannon Norton, Tyler Norton, Lauren Walton and Sam Walton. Honorary pallbearer is Carissa Kocian.
